After our big wonderful night of 58cm's it kept snowing through the day depositing a further top up of 16cm's. It is so nice to have an early season storm of 74cm's to create a whopper of an early base. The season total on the Snowball lawn is now 125 centimeters!
The next morning (13th of December) we woke up to clear still perfect cold bluebird. We headed up to wonderful Okushiga Kogen and the summer legs melted away into powdery turns of pure joy. It is so good to be back on the snow ripping around the mountain. Can recommend!
Today's pic is an Okushiga turn with a bit of powder going sideways. You can still see the Zasa bamboo poking out of the snow. Won't be long before it is all buried. So fun and buttery...
