Snowball Studios is located in an existing building in Madarao that we are in the process of transforming into one of Madarao's most desirable accommodation options. Inspired by the Edo era architecture and interior design of Japan we have spared no expense re-creating a traditional Japanese look with all the modern western comforts you could hope for.
With incredible views over the valley, Shiga Kogen, Nozawa Onsen and Kijimadaira the studios couldn't be a more perfect place to relax and enjoy Madarao from.
The Studios have a full featured kitchen, Hinoki bathroom, super comfy couches and of course are absolutely beautiful. A haven to realx in after a perfect day skiing and snowboarding on Mount Madarao and Tangram ski resorts.
The Studio Apartment we stayed in is just lovely. Every time we walked in we felt the zen of Japan floating over us.
Highly recommend heading down to Snowball Chalet for breakfast. It was also so nice relaxing in the Snowball Chalet lounge for après but then being able to come back to our own private apartment.
